Black on Black.

I remember when personal style blogs really started to make their presence known on the inter-web six years ago. It was creative & inspiring to see what these ladies could do with their style. They'd mix Forever 21 with vintage Chanel. Or a no name thrifted dress with a pair of Chloe boots scored off eBay. Then somewhere a long the way it all changed. These girls started wearing nothing but designer this & that damn near head to toe. Which that's awesome for them that they are able to afford or be given such great pieces, but what did that mean for the thousands of girls that look at their blogs everyday for inspiration but can't fathom to afford anything they're wearing? Time & time again I hear how depressing it is to even look at personal style blogs anymore because what's on them is unattainable for the masses. Well, I'm here hoping to change that a bit.

Thrifting is a passion of mine as silly as it sounds. People give away such great treasures on a daily basis that is ours for the picking. You just have to know what to look for. Everyday I leave my house I am wearing at least one thing from the thrift or a vintage shop. And I encourage you to do the same! I will teach my tips & tricks a long the way to living a more stylish life from your wardrobe to your home to gifts for others. I hope you enjoy my blog & find the great joy in thrifting! Xo.

Now, about the outfit! I'd been craving a black denim jacket. The only ones I'd seen on the market were a 'true' black & I wanted something a bit lighter. Came upon this vintage Guess jacket for $7- at the Goodwill. Sold! Total price for this outfit (excluding the handbag - it was a gift!) is about $100. Actually making it one of my more expensive outfits but we can blame the boots for that (they were a $60- sale splurge.) Wore this get-up out w/my babe to our favorite pub for lunch the other day. Shepard's Pie + hard cider = A happy Jordan belly.
