There is nothing better than a warm Spring day in the PNW. I realize that many people probably say that about their respective cities/states but, when you deal with the constant rain (& subsequently frizzy hair) we do then you could understand our reasoning.
I threw this outfit on to take our dog, Anubis, to the park. This outfit gave me an Isabel Marant vibe (even without considering the fact I am wearing shoes & a necklace of her design.) Her runway shows offer a huge dose of inspiration for me & I appreciate that she knows what she likes & sticks to it. I felt this top could easily fit into almost any of her collections as it just has the breezy, effortless quality to it which she consistently produces. And it was the perfect outfit to take in the warm air on this sunny day. Xo.

Thrifting Tip: Inspiration
As I said, Marant's runway shows are a huge source of inspiration for me. I always keep her collections in mind when I'm thrifting. I'm not looking for identical or knock-off items, but something that gives off a vibe like she could of easily designed it herself. Something that just gives a hint of her aesthetic. Is there a designer you love but can't afford? What is it about their collections that you crave? Don't pinpoint a particular item, but what is the overall feeling you get from that designer that you yourself want to portray? Is it an exotic boho vibe from Gucci? Or an ethereal innocence from Chloe? How about a cowboy meets Chinadoll courtesy Ralph Lauren? I encourage you to think of your favorite designers collections & what it is that makes you excited to see what they bring each season. Then take those mental notes with you each time you thrift. You're bound to create a wardrobe you love on a budget you can afford.
